This release was named Talk of the Devil in the UK. This live concert featuring only Black Sabbath covers was recorded at The Ritz in New York on the 26th and 27th of September 1982 & featured Night Ranger guitarist Brad Gillis, who had stepped in for the recently deceased Randy Rhoads. Ozzy has publicly disowned the album, saying it was only recorded due to pressures from the record label.

The song "Sweet Leaf" was omitted on initial Compact Disc releases of the album. It was restored, however, when album was remastered in 1995.

In April 2002, this album was deleted from the Ozzy catalogue and is no longer being made. It is available for legal download from sites like iTunes.

There is a video with the same name, but it has different content. In that video, Ozzy performs his own songs plus some Black Sabbath covers. The band line-up is the same of Osbourne, Gillis, Sarzo, Aldridge and Airey.

This was the last album with Rudy Sarzo, who left to rejoin Quiet Riot less than a month later. Brad Gillis also left to join Night Ranger. Bob Daisley would replace Sarzo & Jake E. Lee replaced Gillis. for the next album, Bark at the Moon.

What do you think about my blog?

Mensuālis Melĭōris Plectrum

“Oda Lunar”

I

Soy luna solitaria
en de poca lágrima triste noche.
Soy luna candelaria
de funerario coche.
Soy infeliz luna, plena en reproche.

II

Soy plateado broche
hendido. Soy noctívaga armonía
funeral de antenoche.
Soy gran melancolía,
tímida, inerte, de sola alma fría.

III

Soy luna en agonía,
en mar nocturno, brillante, ahogada.
En el difunto día
soy luna acongojada
temiendo a tu ida, mi estrella estimada.

IV

Soy luna de enramada
en cielo gris de muerto atardecer.
La noche atormentada
es sin amanecer,
su tenebra no tiene perecer.

V

Esa noche, mi ser
asola: lleva del diurno lucero,
el cual me ha de querer,
pero nunca fue austero
por dejarme... Fue un luto lastimero.

VI

Soy varado velero
en las grises aguas de velatorio,
por niebla en mi sendero.
Soy afán ilusorio
de glacial plectro sobre mi escritorio.

VII

Soy luna de mortuorio,
entre una nube de dolosos llantos.
Soy luna de velorio,
entre fúnebres cantos,
por la partida de mi pardo manto...

VIII

Soy numen esperanto
de como Dama de Noche, florar.
No seré nunca santo
por mi necio pecar,
mas, ¡piedad!, pido mi mal, desterrar.

IX

Soy la sombra lunar
del mañana. Fui el brillo del pasado
y vigente brillar.
Mi sueño es recelado,
pues el destino puede ser soñado...

X

Sólo un astro olvidado
recordar puede del que en el olvido
lo dejó, mas, dejado
es el tiempo vivido
de ingrato, ora, por su eser aturdido.

XI

Luna sin apellido
fui siempre. Ya estoy perdida en las penas.
Soy del lobo äullido,
soy su eco entre las venas
del vasto valle de almas en condena.

XII

Triste por culpa ajena.
Perdido en martirio de Astro del día.
Confundido en cadenas.
Y cuánto en mí dolía,
cuando mi ausente autor, vi que partía.

XIII

Porto misantropía,
por maltratos u olvidos, entre mi alma,
cual le faltó alegría
para ganar la calma
estando entre las de la angustia palmas.

XIV

Quiero portar la talma
alegre y secar mi dolor gotero.
Quiero la firme salma
para del candelero
no caer y dar fin a mi cuentero.

XV

Mas yo soy el cochero
de mi muerto verso, cual bien lo velo
en mi lleno tintero,
y lo entierro en el suelo
de papel santo, y veo su alma en vuelo.
